Meeting dates: October 15, 22, 29, and November 5
In these pandemic days, our creative selves may have gone into lockdown. In this generative four-week workshop, we will come together with the intention of coaxing our creativity out into the open again, through the use of writing prompts as well as a variety of active and passive non-writing activities incorporating readings, music, gentle movement, and drawing, all with the goal of creating a sense of space and possibility in which the words can flow again. You can come with a writing idea in mind or not, but come prepared to relax, have fun, and be encouraged! You will leave with new ideas about how to reenter your creative space and some new writing based on the generative prompts we complete together.
Please bring to class: Headphones, paper, a pen, drawing/coloring implements (pencils, crayons, markers…), tape or glue stick, and a magazine or two.
Instructor: Katy Yocom
