Silks Derby Eve Bash Moves to September 4, 2020 

Operation Open Arms charity event shifts to new Kentucky Derby Eve date

LOUISVILLE -- Silks Derby Eve Bash, the annual fundraising event for Operation Open Arms, announced today that its event will move to September 4th this year to coincide with the rescheduling of the 2020 Kentucky Derby.

The 12^th annual Silks Derby Eve Bash will be on Friday, September 4th at historic Locust Grove in Louisville, KY. The charity made its decision as Churchill Downs announced it would delay the Kentucky Derby from May 2 to September 5 because of concerns amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Silks in the Bluegrass, the annual fund-raiser benefiting Operation Open Arms, Inc., is looking forward to celebrating again this year, on FRIDAY, MAY 1, 2020.

• This year our Silks in the Bluegrass Sponsor Dinner will be held at GlenEntry, historic home of Ambassador Cathy Bailey and Mr. Irv Bailey. You and your guests will enjoy a lovely evening on the night before the 146th running of the Kentucky Derby complete with cocktails and dinner by Renown Louisville Chef Kathy Cary.
• Dancing after dinner will be at Historic Locust Grove located less than 5 minutes from the Bailey home. Cocktail Attire.
