Louisville Chorus
Established in 1939, Louisville Chorus is the longest-thriving most frequently performing choral arts agency in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and neighboring states. Within the realm of other major arts agencies in the area, it exceeds the longevity of opera, ballet, and theatre.
The Chorus has filmed two concerts for perpetual broadcast on the world’s largest religious media network EWTN, recorded music for Hollywood movie productions, and released multiple CDs. A member of Chorus America, Louisville Chorus has had its music chosen for broadcast on a nationwide radio series that focused exclusively on the art of choral music.
A professional chorus of auditioned singers, Louisville Chorus thrills audiences with a wide repertoire ranging from choral masterworks with orchestra to pops, family-oriented, Broadway, and celebrations of Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Fourth of July, and more. The Chorus offers a very active season of concerts, multimedia events, and outreach programs. We perform with other arts agencies including adult and youth ensembles, and offer concerts for arts series and other events throughout Kentuckiana.
